Barcelona has published an official statement on its website in response to the press conference held by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez.
During his address to the media, the Madrid chief highlighted alleged corruption in the collaboration between Barcelona and former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA), José María Negreira. Pérez also confirmed that relevant documents related to the case have been submitted to UEFA.
“In response to the press conference called by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, we wish to inform that our legal department is carefully analyzing his statements and accusations. At present, they are under review, and further steps are being evaluated. We will provide additional information on our position and any decisions taken when appropriate,” reads the Catalan club’s statement.
