The injury occurred in the final minutes of the Knicks’ Game 2 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, after Anunoby landed awkwardly while attempting a dunk.
The setback is a major concern for the Knicks, given Anunoby’s crucial role in their postseason push. He is averaging 21.4 points per game in the playoffs, making him the team’s second-leading scorer during the current run. Anunoby has been officially listed as questionable for Game 3 on Friday in Philadelphia, as New York looks to extend its 2-0 series lead.
